New teams were forced to use Cosworth engines

oh yes, now i remember. the record of 11 complaints against one car still stands as a record i think. at the time the car was described in media over here as the biggest breach of F1 rules ever, followed closely by the brabham fan car. the 88B came after a while, some months i think, in the british GP and then got the same black flag again. allowed by the RAC but objected to by the teams. after that the team went back to the 87.

however, i didn't knew FIA allowed it to race in the US. which is odd, cos that basically means the car could only race in US non FIA events. the FIA has no say about these races anyway. so FIA allowed the car to race in events over which it has no government. cos the car could only participate in FIA events if it complied to the FIA rules. which is obviously didn't.

great stories by the way. those were the days F1 was fun and exciting!
