If you guys thought the F1 standings were tight, how about a 6 point difference between Jimmie Johnson at 5998 and Denny Hamlin at 5992. Of course this is all set up by the somewhat farcical "Race for The Chase", where only the top 12 drivers are involved in the championship hunt at the end of the year.

Talladega is always a bit of a crap-shoot, where a driver can get mixed up in major pileup through no fault of his own. If Johnson can survive this one, he'll be well placed to take his 5th straight Cup Title.

A win at Adria will give Paul di Resta the DTM title with a round to spare, providing team-mate Bruno Spengler finishes no higher than sixth.

Okayama (formerly known as TI Aida) should suit SEAT's Gabriele Tarquini and BMW's Andy Priaulx, but it usually rains, so...

You won't get any argument from me, Keke, on NASCAR's Chase format; I thought it was a dumb*** idea back in 2003 after Matt Kenseth won the title that year despite only winning one race the entire season........ :o :o :o

As for Talladega.........no argument there; it's the biggest crap-shoot-- race they have w/in the Chase and most drivers will say just seeing the checkers at the end of the race there is equal to a win...... :o :o
