Current Lewis Hamilton

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

Lewis has made six rather gushy posts about the Merc staff from caterers and media to Toto and Lauda.

Deffo trying to make up for comments last week.

It kind of reminds me of a story about the band Sham 69. At the time they were around there was a rivalry between Punks and 'Hippies' and Sham 69 thought this was stupid so wrote a song called "if the kids were untied they will never be divided". At an open air festival they played this song and invited a the audience to invade the stage and join the song in unity, which they did. It was a really happy scene with all mixtures of people hugging and singing exactly as the song was meant only right at the end of the song some skinhead grabs the mic and says "and if the hippies Don't like it they can **** off!":facepalm:

Some of those comments are exactly like that skinhead.

Actually very impressed Mercedes have found the failed component and have a fix with them this weekend. Why that is an after thought in the last line of the article is beyond me.

As a precaution Mercedes have announced they would run with "more conservative parameters" on all engines this week-end including its customer teams - thus delaying the planned upgrade they would have introduced this week - until further investigations.

That' s not being very specific though. Is there any chance at all the gap between the Merc units and rival engines will be narrowed as a result?
