Does this imply that Kubica was not able to do well enough to convince Renault that he is not a WDC in waiting?

His times in testing, although good for a man with only one proper arm, weren't stunning. That said, Jolyon isn't exactly setting the world alight with his dynamic speed is he?

If a man with 1 and a half arms can drive as fast as your current driver. It is a clear decision.

He would get better with time in the car, surely.

    Well that's a good boy.

He had a sniff at beating Hülkenberg today, but then the engine died of sheer disbelief. :D

Felt sorry for Palmer this weekend. I think he had something genuine to moan about.

Renault are going to re-sign Palmer for next season.

He fully deserves another year of bullets fired at him by me. ;) I'm joking the lad has done well since the summer break, but he has been unfortunate in the last two races.

The opening line is a prediction. ;)

He did well to mug Bottas after the first safety car came in too.

Palmer has always been pretty good round Singapore. He was better in the second half of last season too. Of course, that could be his last race.

Apparently he has "offered his services" to Williams. Bet that brought some chuckles in the HR office in Grove.

In another example of terrible journalism. Planet F1 have now decided Jolyon Palmer is a Frenchman.

    Renault praise for 'error-free' Palmer | PlanetF1

Has he change nationality to get more sponsorship or are the article checkers just that bad?

Journalistic standards have dropped all across the board. Palmer is so inconspicuous, he could work for MI5. Even Hamilton forgot his name at one press conference. :D

He's told Renault he's French to activate the 'Arnoux' clause.

He was caught when he didn't know what "L'idiot britannique de la voiture deuciéme" meant.

He should follow Chilton over the pond, they can play table-tennis together

Olivier - My phone is only set up to autocorrect in English. Typo, not spelling error. ;)

If that's the most that's wrong with my half-remembered High School French then I'm very happy!
