Future F1 Grands Prix

Being fair to them, it does look like a very fast course - the nearest on the calendar seems to be Montreal, which could be a good sign... However, it does run the risk of being a Valencia....

Big run off areas in street circuits is stupid.

Valencia seems to have more than your average circuit, Singapore has a fair few too.

Monaco has the balance right, maybe one or two more little ones added just for safety.

Thank Goodness Singapore has a few! I would hate it even more on F1 2011 even though Monaco is harder it just gets frustrating, Singapore is a good balance, Valencia might as well be a track circuit with that much run off

The run off is a bit excessive but I'd rather have some room for action than parading around trying to avoid walls. However that chicane at turn 6 looks awful. It really irks me.:disappointed:

(Warning! This is based on someone's imagination who has never been to Hawaii.)

You know what would be cool? A Hawaiian Grand Prix, the could cars race under the palm trees along the coast and then make a dash into Honolulu.

I've never thought about an F1 race in Hawaii, only a cycling one going up to the top of the big volcanoes! But that would be very cool. F1 does need more destinations, such as a Las Vegas race, or one in Hong Kong, or race the Macau street circuit. Maybe even a street race in Tel Aviv. Not that I want more street circuits, but get rid of Valencia and Singapore the tracks aren't good and theres not much to do in Singapore anyways.

With the exception of the first corner that Jersey track looks okay. For a street track a chicane has to be two 90° corners, and not a few degrees off.

teabagyokel well im sure it would turn out just fine if you didnt try to run it in a car park. I just think a street race on the strip would be awesome. The casinos wouldn't mind, nobody would be able to leave for a weekend.

GermanF1 - One of the reasons Singapore doesn't devalue Monaco is that it has its own selling point - the night, the fireworks, the music. I just can't imagine a Vegas strip GP having a real USP compared to Monaco.

I think F1 should endeavour to keep the Monaco GP as unique as possible - that is what is appeal is. It has to be the slowest circuit, the tightest circuit, the (second) most historic circuit, the most glitzy circuit and the most unusual circuit. Attempting to create a second Monaco would be a fools' errand for F1.

I don't think it would devalue Monaco as Monaco is a lot more giltzy and high end while Vegas just has the lights and the casinos and the entertainment. Monaco is upper clase, classical architecture, glitzy beauty while Vegas is commercialism at its best. Make the Vegas circuit a fast one and the only similarities would be casinos and the fact its a street circuit.

Surely if we're talking about a glamous American race that Las Vegas is all a bit cheesy - now if we were to have a nightime race through Hollywood on the same day as the Oscars - then we'd be talking glam
