Another point on the board.

We gave away a soft penalty but it was the right call.

When Riis has an off day we have to hope someone else in the starting 11 can find the net because we'd be as well off leaving the players in the dugout and bringing the actual bench on instead such is our lack of striking quality. I doubt it will be fixed in January either because thanks to FFP we've not got the headroom to spend any money. If we can convince anyone to take 1, 2 or even all 3 of our 29th choice strikers off our hands then there's a possibility we may be able to fix the problem.

we got a similar problem. campbell hugely off form currently, cannon is extremely ineffective & onè is too young

now It’s looking bad for us. We’ve definitely improved, but even if you’re Pep Guardiola, key moments decide games & since Wilder we’ve been on the wrong side of far too many.
  • couldn’t hold out vs Charlton
  • missed a straightforward chance to go 2–0 up against Southampton
  • now missed a late penalty at lunchtime
We should really be on 6 points, but because we can’t handle the key moments, we’re stuck on 3.

Pants today.

A brief spark at the start of the season followed by a reality check.

Without getting rid of three useless strikers and recruiting some quality it's going to be another season of mediocrity.

Saw this on our forum. We've got a guy on loan from Man Utd between the sticks who is absolutely awesome.

Our first choice keeper from last season has to have an operation in the summer and has just come back to fitness meaning that Lumley who has played a couple of league cup games is surplus at the moment.

City up to fourth.
this season promotion is for anyone. the 3 relegated clubs are poor. we shouldve beaten southampton but not taking the chance to go 2-0 up cost us

for a huge win. off the bottom on Saturday & now out of the relegation zone. Wilder working his magic. 8th in form table since Wilder arruved & really shouldve been 5th & the stat that went something like, no championship team that had lost their 8 of their 1st 9 has never survived is about to be broken.

No sympathy whatsoever

Yes he guided us to our best finish in the championship since 2007 and while he was here he suffered the tragic loss of his very young child.

However, his football is bloody awful, he sticks with the same plan, week in week out even to the point of making subs like for like at exactly the same time (the 60 minute mark). He insists on playing one up top regardless of the circumstances on the pitch. He replaced the hugely popular Nigel Pearson for no apparent reason (not Manning's fault but our terrible board).

He's one of these "Championship Manager" style modern coaches that has no edge, inspiration or passion. He's left every club he's been at so far (apart from getting sacked by MK Dons) without showing any loyalty, to try and move up the ladder. It turned out he first started talking to Norwich between our play off semi first and second leg.

The guy has been found out.

Screw him.

blades were a shambles today. Haven’t seen us that bad in the Championship for a long time, reminded me of that Shrewsbury game nearly 10 years ago when we made a poor side look brilliant.

we were so scrappy, Couldn’t string 2 passes together, decision-making was awful. 1–0 was the most predictable goal ever. terrible defending, spent minutes gifting Derby the ball to try again. & Never looked like scoring either, as we had no idea how to break their pressing or organisation

Where’s the team from Blackburn (2nd half), Watford and PNE (1st half)? We’re miles off of that level

that is pretty shocking
Yeah, I think that's the worst part. I don't mind managers wanting to better themselves when the time is right but he constantly dumps on his clubs thinking in the 5 minutes he's been there he's outgrown the role.

He stayed for 26 weeks at Oxford showing real progress with them (they were promoted after he left) and then jumped ship to us when we came calling. He then does a decent job to finish 6th in his first full season and suddenly it's off to Norwich.

i was absolutely furious last night. wouldn't blame wilder if he was fuming because every match is xmas day with the presents our defending gives away. frustrating the amount of time ive said all that hard work thrown away. through basic errors

then football games are 90mins long. not 45mins & go home. we are hugely in danger. & we defend like that in 2 weeks & our big rivals will be laughing there heads off

1-1 - how do 2 of our defenders jump for a header & both lose.
2-1 - is some shocking goalkeeping, our back up goalkeeper flapped & left an open goal
3-1 - chasing the game we let their striker have the whole half to themselves
