i think its pure desperation. i think he has only taken the job because he's a boyhood fan. if he wasnt managing the club he was probably in the stands.
but we are so bad, weve conceded 14 goals in 6 games & we lucky it wasnt 20-22. he is the best man for the firefighting job that we need. as much i would to move on. after nearly 10yrs bar 2 quick failures of wilderball. apparently the rumour is he goes upstairs after a short term spell of manager. takes on almost director of football role. like mick Harford at luton or bobby charlton did at man utd
Think the Scummers/Pompey game was a fair result. Portsmouth absolutely dominated the first half, but Scum came back in the second. I can't believe the referee had to intervene with the two managers less than 60 seconds in to the game, and then the ginger bloke got all upset when John Mousinho shook his hand a bit too much at the end.

Just to add more to the ridiculousness of FFP (or PSR), Manchester United's net borrowing has increased by a further £100million, so that their debt now stands at £1billion.

Of course, this is not an indication that Manchester United are in breach of PSR, because the rules are so convoluted that it allows teams with historic high revenue streams to maintain spending, without having to sell the crown jewels.
PSR needs to be re-written, to provide:

that was absoulte sickener today*Checks league table.
Not as bad as Sheffield Utd
almost a game of 2 halves. pre 65 mins it was like wilder had never left, i thought we were decent. we controlled the game but struggled to test the GK & charlton had brief flashes but had more dangerous chances
then cannon & barry came on & it nosedived. i want to lenient & say the heavy rain. but peck & tanganga kept giving the ball away easily in our final third & it eventually cost us
Charlton were a decent side when they came to our place a couple of weeks ago. A really tough side to break down.

they were defensively good, we struggled break them down. slightly lucky as 17 should have been off. as twice whilst on a booking. he made challenges that wouldve got him a yellow card. but the referee bottled it
we looked a bit of lack of confidence & they were scared to make the correct pass

brilliant to have that winning feeling again. whatever wilder found in that 2nd half. is very encouraging & gives us a springboard for Tuesday, hopefully not be bottom
game of 2 halves. 1st half better defensively but it couldn't be worse & there have been some bright spells when it worked but for majority far too poor in possession, Turnover far too easy. dreadful passing & defensive clearances straight back to Oxford
then 2nd i dont if heweaked tactics, found something or what he said. or just confidence. but that 2nd half was very good. i know it was a very low bar

We had the vast majority of the game against Preston but our squad quality is so thin we have a first 11 and then a lot of bench warmers so when the strikers are wasteful in the final third there's no one to come off the bench and spice things up.

Our chums across the city used to have flower beds behind their goals at the former Eastville Stadium (now an IKEA).
It was probably an unsuccessful attempt to drown out the stench of gas from the nearby gas works (hence their nickname)

you know what was funny is that autoglass obviously knew what was coming. as they had a temporary shop outside the ground. & funny to see the guy whoses job it is to watch the match & run into car park & try to find the ball

these things happen at corners. youve got 18 players all in 10 yard area. its impossible to think that someone isnt going to get pushed. that is a corner you will see in every game in the league on every matchday
lets not forget the referees that turn a blind eye. to defenders having attackers hostage, with the tight grip on the waist that is more akin to WWF, from every corner. & yet he has the cheek to disallow that
