Anyone seen this.....Ferrari's 'grip' button? A new button on the steering wheel allowing the drivers to adjust grip levels from the cockpit. It means the tyres have a wider operating window. Perhaps Ferrari have improved traction due to this rather than Mercedes having poor traction?
Does mystery new dial offer clue to Ferrari’s F1 tyre edge?

Kewee, even allowing for that fact that these drivers are the best in the world, that race was appallingly bad. Two races ago at China there was an exciting race, same drivers. And there was overtaking, not only as a result of DRS. So it cant just be because all the drivers are good. Must be also track related and F1 rules related as well? Some tracks don't deserve to be on the calendar and I'd say Sochi is one of them. I'd rather have Istanbul park back personally ( politics of Erdogan aside)

I think Ferrari have improved traction but getting the tyres to work has been a fairly constant problem for Merc. It's kind of been hidden over last few years when they had a big car advantage but it was their weakness before that.

Bit of both I reckon.

I gave it 4, maybe Because teams showed up and raced. I like races where something happens during the race. At least there were some intriguing moments towards the end. Not enough to Save the race but enough not to give it "worst race ever" title.

Personally, I gave it a 4, mostly because during the last few laps I at least had a passing optimism (see!) that there would be some excitement in the last few laps. It did become rather inevitable that nothing would happen, but it was compelling to watch the chase.

I have no shame in giving it a ten as we had a new race winner. Had Bottas not won I still would have given it an 8 as it held my attention for very long periods, especially the last 30 laps.
