CLUE 1: I once won a race without ever leading a lap!

I'm going to take a punt on Alessandro Nannini who was awarded the Japanese Grand Prix victory in 1991 (?) when Senna was disqualified after his contretemps with Prost.

CLUE 2: I drove for 3 teams in F1, but drove most of my career with one of them.

Hasn't Nannini come up before?

Elio De Angelis? I have a feeling he was awarded a win after Prost was disqualified? Not sure though.

Also he drove for Shadow, Lotus and Brabham but most of his time was with Lotus.
