Ross Brawn has suggested that there could be non-championship races where prizes would be awarded but no points. These could be useful as tes weekends for the teams and also to try out new formats.

Which of the current races would be better as a non-championship race?

All the boring ones. The ones that are included only to add more money to BE bank balance.

There is only one: Monaco.

It has the prestige to stand on its own two feet, and could gain from a range of unique rule tweaks to liven it up and set it apart that a Championship race could not have.

Revoking Championship status may well kill any other Grand Prix. Monaco could be released from its torpor.

Monaco. Is the clear choice. F1 out grew the narrow tight streets 20 years ago. It's a shit race and playing around with the format is the only way anything close to an entertaining weekend could be had at this track.

So are we saying F2 has the same cars as F1 but we change the racing rules?

If that's the case I don't see it making any difference: E.g. there is good racing at Monaco, just not with F1 cars.

I know I should read the article but I trust Bill to sum it up accurately...
