Poll Top 10 Drivers in 2025

F1Brits_90

World Champion
It's that time of year again to embrace the annual traditions. No, not Christmas, it's the 2025 CTA Driver of the Year :D

Will the british bias shine through again & Max topping the list for the 3rd season in a row, or will 1 of the mclaren drivers top the list for the 1st time ever

As always, I suggest a top 10, but it's completely your choice: top 3, top 5, or top 10. This is the one time of the year where there truly are no wrong answers. If you think Colapinto deserves a place in the top 10, go for it. It’s your list, your criteria, & your opinion.

It’s a fun way to see how everyone thought the 2025 grid fared: who impressed, who disappointed & who surprised us.

Just post your list below. Like F1, the top driver gets 25 points and 10th gets 1 point. Once everyone who wants to vote has posted, the driver with the most total points will become the highly prestigious 2025 CTA Driver of the Year, joining the 8 great drivers who’ve won it previously.

The winner will likely be announced around Christmas.

1) Lando Norris
2) Oscar Piastri
3) George Russell
4) Charles LeClerc
5) Isack Hadjar
6) Carlos Sainz
7) Ollie Bearman
8) Kimi Antonelli
9) Alex Albon
10) Nico Hulkenberg

1. Max Verstappen - Pains me to admit it.
2. Lando Norris - Deserved to be Champion in the end but should have been much easier.
3. Oscar Piastri - 7 wins is nothing to be ashamed of but inexplicably faded away in the last third of the season.
4. George Russell - Got the best out of a poor Mercedes to challenge the top 3
5. Carlos Sainz - Once he got on top of the Williams he got the best out of it.
6. Charles Leclerc - Fast at times.
7. Isak Hadjar - Clearly quick. Hope he doesn't get eaten by the Verstappen machine next season.
8. Alex Albon - Would have been higher but Sainz got the podiums
9. Kimi Antonelli - Inconsistent at times but got stronger as the season went on and kept George on his toes.
10. Nico Hulkenberg - Great podium.

Okay here is mine

1 Verstappen - an even great comeback than Lazarus
2 Norris - the comeback after Zaandvoort was superb
3 Leclerc - Wrestled the Ferrari to places where it should not have been to be honest
4 Piastri - 5 crashes at the back end of the season was wretched to an otherwise fantastic season
5 Russell - his form dipped in relation to the car and Antonelli was proving to be a real threat to his status
6. Hadjar - Outshone his teammates in the same car and was up there unexpectedly at times
7. Antonelli - the back end season performances were impressive after his horrendous blip
8. Bearman - A future Ferrari driver no doubt once he settled in , he outraced the highly rated Ocon and turn off speed was impressive in places
9. Albon - The first half of Albon was superb , the 2nd half he fell away but to outscore Sainz and Alonso was impressive from him
10. Sainz - The Smooth Operator like many only came alive in the last 3rd of the season once he finally settled with two superb podiums

the rest

Bortoleto and Hulkenberg - once Sauber switched off to Audi so did they as well
Alonso - when the car was working he was up there but otherwise languishing right at the back
Gasly - the car is a real let down but he outperformed Colapinto
Hamilton - Such a horrendous season
Tsunoda and Lawson - less said about their time at Red Bull
Colapinto - another victim of Flav's bad driver management

Not sure about his full list but at the most recent CTA staff meeting Bro told me his top two for the season were;

1) Max Verstappen
2) Danica Patrick

Make of that what you will.
