To finish or not to finish? Why did they fail?

I also think that cars are stronger these days and a collision doesnt necessarily mean the end of the race e.g. Alguersuari clipping Alonso on the first corner quite hard in Spa. Some drivers are more "luckier" than others in this respect: Hamilton always seem to DNF after a collision while other drivers don't. Vettel in 2010 had a first lap skirmish (Britain) and a shunt into Button at Spa last year, both of which stopped him scoring points?

Maybe a better statistic (especially with reliability so good) would be to find how many non-point scoring races each driver has? Can imagine will be a nightmare for Alonso and Webber due to past era unreliability however...
