Memorial Day Weekend here in the 'States. For most everyone in America, it is a time to honor those who've given the ultimate sacrifice for their country over the years and it also marks the unofficial start to summer. It also marks one of the busier motorsports weekends on the 2010 calendar............

~~Formula 1: Grand Prix of Turkey, Istanbul Park
~~IndyCar Series: 94th Indianapolis 500, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Speedway, Ind.(2.5-mile superspeedway oval)
~~NASCAR Sprint Cup Series: Coca-Cola 600, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord, N.C.(1.5-mile high-banked quad-oval)


But don't fear, there are more events on the calendar.......................
~~Grand-Am: Memorial Day Classic, Lime Rock Park--Lakeville, Ct.(1.53-mile natural terrain road course)
~~World Superbike: Round 7/Races 13-14, Miller Motorsports Park--Tooele, Utah(3.048-mile Outer Course)
~~World Rally Championship: Round 6, Rally of Portugal
And the support series are represented as well this weekend......................
~~Firestone Indy Lights: Firestone Freedom 100, Indianapolis Motor Speedway
~~Star Mazda Series: Round 4, O'Reilly Raceway Park, Clermont, Ind.
~~GP2 Series: Round 3/Races 5-6, Istanbul Park, Turkey
~~GP3 Series: Round 2/Races 3-4, Istanbul Park, Turkey

Without those we'd be missing out on a lot.

And to think Brogan, LeMans is only what, 2 weeks down the road; another reason to fire up all of the above.................. :givemestrength: :o :o
