Van der Garde has been penalized 5 grid places for the crash he caused, leaving Sam Bird in pole position.

With Grosjean also penalized, but starting from the back anyway due to having set no time, and Bianchi also down the field after a grid penalty carried over from Spain, it could be good for Birds' championship hopes if he manages to win here.

Oh dear. Why am I reminded of Bjorn Wirdheim?

Ooh, sorry Fenders!Blast! Just clicked on that linkand haven't yet seen the race! No surprises fro me this evening!

Um, okay in the main, but he's young with loads of promise. It's early days in his career so a little hiccup here and there is to be expected. Didn't see or hear much of him in the coverage because Eurosport isn't that good. The commentators sit it out in a studio in Paris watching it on TV like the rest of us and they babble about what we can see with our own eyes or waffle about who knows what. The one thing you can guarantee is that they have no idea what's going in the mid or back of the field. Couple of Autosport write ups here.
Hope that helpsALOT of crashes, from what i've seen this year
