I've just seen on the news today that the Commodore 64 is to be re-released. The classic styling remains but the heart of the machine is a dual Core 525 Atom processor and the latest Nvidia Ion2 graphics chipset with Blu-ray player.

Full details are to be found here and it is available to buy in June!

I read that yesterday.

That brings back some memories; some good (games, programming), some not so good (spending 30 minutes loading a game by magnetic tape just for it to fail at the end).

I once tried to create an F1 Database on a Commodore 64 - it won't surprise you to learn that it was a) time consuming and b) not very succesful, so I went back to playing silly games.

Not quite sure of the point of this although I went out recently to buy a new Windows based lap top and they were all so boring, dull and samey I broke the bank and bought a Mac Book which was more that twice the budget I had planned. Aren't computers boring nowadays, maybe that's the point of this? Did the C64 ever have a mouse?
