We don't have a thread for the Belgian GP this weekend, so here's one.

A few thoughts:

• It's at Spa - Hooray
• There's a sprint race -Boo!
• Christian Horner won't be there - Hooray!
• Flavio Briatore will still be there - Boo!
• Ferrari are bringing upgrades - Hooray
• Ferrari will still be rubbish - Boo! (or hooray if you don't like Ferrari

that would be incredible tv potentially. depending on how freely he was allowed to speak under his gardening leave. if had a tons of NDA it would be pointless

Of all the Belgian GPs on the F1 calendar this year, this is the one I'm looking forward to not watching the most.

Mixed weather tends to produce interesting races so it won't be a bad thing to have a bit of rain.

very true. arguably the best race of the season last time out

that was pretty definitive. if norris cant find anything. they might as well had piastri the winners trophy now. as he was better in the wet at silverstone & in a different league today

Also Verstappen went for the less wing set up where as Piastri more down force

We know how that worked last time

shouldve got rid of horner earlier. if that was the result

but saying that if it was a dry race. that would've been a mclaren 1-2. piastri wouldve had max in the pits regardless if he undercutted or overcutted.

well the Rain has arrived in the F2. which might be a shame as i was looking to a dry race as it had potential. of maybe spa 2014 or 16 when rosberg & hamilton collided

i might be underestimating how bad the weather is but judging by a few onboards in F2 this morning espically browning overtaking marti. they raced in as bad or worse than this. this morning

i dont want to be too critical of Norris. as they are "tiny" errors. but they cost him last yr in brazil & they are costing him this season. he seems to push too hard. he was 3-3.5 secs behind on lap 41. he lost 2 secs due to multiple tiny errors in the chase.

piastri is supposedly human. 1.5secs with 3 laps to go. could put pressure on piastri to have lock up & give him a chance. at 3.5 piastri was always going to be comfortable
