Football 2011/12 Football Season

I'm very prepared :) But our defence is actually half decent now and we've got Hume and Mellor fit again, so I've got everything crossed. Weird results recently, after all, Bournemouth beat Huddersfield at Huddersfield!!

Good win for 'boro today Hammy, can't be dissapointed with 4th in the table at the moment?

Yeah was a good win for us today. We're slowly going about our business, but not getting carried away yet. But we're only two points from the safety mark.

El Classico was good. Real dominated the first half and took the lead just 23 seconds in with Benzema capitalising on a Victor Valdez cock up. Barcelona equalised 10 mins before half time with a lovely through ball from Messi for Sanchez to get on the end off. But after half time Barcelona pulled their socks up and dominated the second half after a change around in Pep's tactics. On the 53rd minute Xavi's shoot hit Marcello and the ball hit the post and went in for an own goal from the Brazilian. Midway through the second half while Real Madrid went on the counter attack Barcelona hit them with they very own counter attack with a lovely worked cross from Alves for Fabregas to get on the end of. But gotta admit how the hell is Messi still was on the pitch after half-time is beyond me, he should really have been sent off. But good not to see all the aggro that has happened in the last El Classico's in the past. My Man of the match is Fábio Coentrão he had a very good game playing outta position at Right back for Real Madrid, with Lass Diarra close behind him. But 3-1 didn't really reflect the game both teams coulda and shoulda scored more goals.

So happy with huddersfield result from a purely selfish perspective! Seriously though, I think it will be a close game, with Preston having improved alot.
But then again, the Dons were comfortable winners against Tranmere today, who are only one point behind you....

It all depends on which Preston turns up, if we can get Hume and Mellor firing and keep our defence as strong as it has been in recent weeks, we'd be more than a match for you, if it's like what it has been the last two months you'd walk over us.

Will be nice to see some more League 1 football, the league should really get more coverage than it does. Like the Championship we should get more games shown live. MK Dons v Preston will be a decent game i reckon.
