Don't know if anyone else caught the WTCC race on Eurosport yesterday at Russia's first "permanent circuit". I only caught the second race but it was all quite exciting. In the end it was won by Chinese driver Ma Qing Hau in a Citroen but not until the Hugo Valente's car exited the pits with 3 seconds to spare before taking up his grid slot, with the machine held together with blue tack and gaffer tape. He then got a drive through for not having the right tyres on with 5 minutes to go whilst leading in a car which had trouble staying in a straight line.
Lots of crash, bang, wallop throughout the race so if you want to see what Stevenage town centre looks like on typical Saturday night I can recommend the WTCC. Next race is at Spa on 21st and 22nd of June.
