Jacques Villeneuve after what happened in Jerez 1997 happened, how much more satisfying was it to finish the race and become world champion?

After trying for so long to win the championship, why retire after getting it once when you are driving for the top/best team?

I thought the Jim Clark problem was discovered when Graham Hill had his big one same reason tyre rim grew, lost all pressure instantaneously after that the tyre bead was bolted to the wheel. Tyres have changed since then as has fabric technology, they may not have been tubeless then.
