Ivan Capelli was given the 1st trophy in 1993 (for 1992). The award was not given in 1994. Here is a video of Vettel driving his Toro Rosso in the streets of the city near Bologna where Bandini was born to receive his award:

PS

One wonders what Senor di Montezemolo was driving back in 1996 to deserve the award. :snigger:

I wonder who is going to get it for this year. It seems that it's awarded only once per driver. McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes drivers have been awarded it already.

Maybe one of the Sauber drivers? Or Petrov?

What exactly is the criteria for winning the award, because "mentality and appraoch" is a load of crap. Also why can a driver only win it once? Eventually we'll be giving it to Karthikeyan...

Since Jacques Villeneuve won it for his Indy title-winning season, perhaps it could go to Sebastien Ogier or Dario Franchitti next year?
