FIA Mohammed Ben Sulayem is the new FIA President

Mohammed Ben Sulayem's statement in full:

"From this point forward I will stop pretending to be Max Mosley and start pretending to be Jean Todt"

Todt - that great day (para phrasing) go to Bahrain, the Country & the Grand Prix is completely safe. nothing to worry about

reporter - so you will be in Bahrain for the Grand Prix

Todt - Well id love to but ive got a prior arrangement

well he is on borrowed time, you cannot have the head of F1 trying to sabotage liberty media if that was his plan. because he's upset at Andretti

I always worry about heads of organisations being appointed from the middle east and further, it's a well known fact the further east you go from western Europe the greater the bribery and corruption and there are some dodgy countries to the east of western Europe

Based on my experience, its no different in Europe, the UK, and US.

I recall setting up a new office for Nokia in Greece way back when, and I was given a sack of cash to "assist" getting things set up.

I'm not saying it isn't here, it's just that it increases the further east you go and Greece is further east than here on a grander scale. Some countries accept it as part of business.
