The Pits......Montezemolo's "hissy fits" are very much appreciated by the other major constructors who are in agreement with him most of the time, especially McLaren, despite the fact they don't run their own engines. Montezemolo has made no secret of the fact he would have no interest in keeping Ferrari in F1 if the engine technology had no relevance to their other company activities, I would suggest the same applies to Renault and Mercedes which is why they're perfectly happy for Montezemolo to be a voice on F1's behalf. It has nothing to do with holding the FIA to ransom as some have suggested, it's simply good business for Ferrari to feed off its racing activities, so there needs to be a degree of flow through from F1 to the rest of their business.
