Christian Horner Sacked By Red Bull

I was stunned when i heard Horner had gone. He always seemed like Teflon, someone who could survive anything, no matter what. In a way, it’s sad to lose our "Darth Vader," because every sport needs a pantomime villain.

But Red Bull has been a car crash ever since the scandal broke & no question Horner has been at the centre of it. They’ve lost Newey, they're on the verge of losing Max for the second year running, gone from dominant to having Perez, Lawson & Tsunoda being a disaster in that 2nd seat. tsunoda finishing dead last in 2 straight races (and 3 of the last 5) & The rumour in the paddock is that without max the junior team wouldve actually had the faster car

I said it when i was annoyed that Horner got his CBE & Newey was only an MBE when he should be a sir. credit to him for hiring Newey. But honestly, since then, most fans could’ve done his job. Newey designed the brilliant cars. Marko found Vettel, Ricciardo, and Verstappen. I’m still not sure what Horner really contributed beyond being a frontman / Panto villain

Oh Christ, we'll get another bloody Spice Girls reunion now so Geri can support her out of work husband.

In the few GP I've watched on Sky this season it was highly noticeable that the love affair between Sky and Red Bull was well and truly over.

Two years ago you would have thought there was only one team principal in F1.

I wonder where this leaves their driver line up for next season?

Horner will not go to Ferrari for sure

I wonder what Ford have been doing in all this ?

You don't make a decision of this magnitude without some discussion happening

its fasinating because im getting conflicting reports. that Horner went. because either they've lost max or in a desperate attempt to keep him

There is a recorded video of his speech today at MK

Whilst it was suggested he was sacked this video suggests he us on garden leave as he mentions still employed by Red Bull.

I still don't think he will consider the Ferrari job because he would have to move to Italy which I don't think Geri would consider

Surely, if Red Bull are to keep with their tradition of binning employees mid season and replacing them with members of the junior team, Horner will end up at RB next week.
