    Hi Guys,

I am working on a project that uses machine learning to help designers create race tracks. My goal is to make tools that will help make informed decisions early on in the process.

My first idea is to interpret a simple track layout, based on a line drawing, and determine how good that track might be for overtaking. To accomplish this, I want to analyze the formula 1 overtakes on a corner by corner basis and use machine learning to determine which sequences of corners are good for overtaking and which could be improved. I can also assign a percentage to the track to see how it fares for overtaking compared to real circuits.

I wanted to get your feedback on this idea and determine whether it is worth pursuing. I'm open to any and all suggestions and would love you hear your thoughts.

    Thanks

P.S. You can see my other work at Designing Emergence
