OK I'm succumbing to the infectious enthusiasm of everyone.
I will watch the ceremony & a fair amount of the sport (at least the highlights after work) & I sincerely hope The Olympics shows all the best of British despite the inevitable weather & the dropped clangers.
We do have the ability to do pomp & circumstance better than any other nation I can think of so here goes...

p.s. please let us win a respectable amount of medals!
