I have noticed lately that due to reasons beyond my control I have become over emotional, irritable and even irrational lately. As such I've decided it's probably best that I step back from the forum for a while. Sorry to all who have suffered as a result of that.

I have noted the commitments I made in the Pre Race Quiz and PQR theads and still wish to honour them.

I hope you all understand and I'm sorry for any offence caused.

Sorry to hear that Angel, I hadn't noticed anything untoward myself but if you feel it's getting to you then taking a bit of time off can only help. Do come back soon.

It's just a group of nuts talking motorsport Angel. I haven't noticed any problems at all.

Plus, when I'm any of the things you mentioned this board provides an escape not the cause of my issues. (and that's coming from a moderator!!)

    Stick around.

I'm with C_a_T on this... better to let off steam here than at home with people that matter.

There's always the Rant thread when things really get on top of you - best place to go for a laugh at the shitty end of life.

And that's the title of my biography sorted.

Hmmm, actually that's an idea for a random gravel trap thread.

    Wait a second........

anyone been follow or seen the tiger woods story over the weekend. because it has been annoying me. I dont begrudge it if anything I cheering him on because for me there is something about "veteran" sportsman triumphing in any sport. i just cant help but have soft spot for it. whether its steve davis v john Higgins at crucible, Schumacher take pole 2012 monaco gp, Raikkonen winning last season US Gp. or Tom Watson being close at open many yrs ago

but what annoys me is "greatest comeback in sport" Tiger woods comeback is great ill give people that. but its nowhere near the greatest. because its clearly Niki Lauda

Armstrong came out of retirement, was still on drugs and was shit.
Try working that one out, perhaps on this thread:
    Cycling
The opening comments of which are quite beyond compare.

If the supermarket don't check the lid of a big bottle of fabric condtioner is on securely and then they put it in a crate with your other shopping and bounce it around on a delivery truck for a couple of hours, you find when it reaches your home that pretty much all the contents of the bottle has escaped and everything you had in that crate (and the one below) is coated in fabric softener and therefore inedible  Thank you Sainsbury's for that life lesson today

Yodel don't even stop the van to deliver. They just throw it out the passenger window into your hedge as they speed past your house.

My healthy eating recommendations by qualified doctors is simultaneously not recommended by qualified doctors. It left me wondering what is true meaning of the word "qualified".

Maybe some people do accept life on the internet "as is," however some things are beginning going on my nerves. (My applogy, but I did not sleep well last night.) Wherever I click these days in my browser, I face a gate sign "We value your privacy, and to serve you better..." (but we want to know everything about you). WT*! No masses screaming murder on the streets protesting it? Have we accepted that this practice might turn one day into life with despots at the helm (if it is not that already), and turn us into pawns to be manipulated to someone's benefit?

Sure, one can turn, walk away, and live in a cave, or isolated mounting cabin sans computer. There is of course such option available.

I feel much better now; time for some drug, like coffee.

why is it that life never doles out s**t in small doses?

Four months ago, my best (non-family) friend started chemo and radiation treatments for neck cancer. Now, I find out that my sister has lung and kidney cancer and starts treatments on Monday! Needless to say, I am flying home to be with her through the ordeal (her husband died 4 years ago). At least I know that she made it thru 2 bouts of breast cancer and we share genes which have enabled me to survive 50 years of Crohn's and hemophelia, so I have LOTS of hope.
