I won't show you the bike shed. It's like a very pissed man has organised it.

I have loads of cables and stuff in a box, when I have yet another one I just stuff it in with the rest.
I have no idea what any of them are for.
But they might be useful, they must have been useful once, so why wouldn’t they be useful again. Someone is bound to know what they’re for.

You can't beat that feeling when a family member is desperate for a cable and your box/bag of wires comes up trump's. Double pleasure if it's Xmas morning.

2 cards (one from each child) have been written out. Presents hidden in the boot of my car. Card and present sorted for mothers / grandparents. A nice family day out planned for tomorrow.

I sent reminders to my two non-teenage children. If they fail to provide a card and gift I have fulfilled my responsibility and its their butts which will get reamed. I have also sub-contracted responsibility for my mother to the wife so, again, any failure will not be my responsibility.

Sorted stuff for my own mum. Sorted stuff for my wife from my little boy. Was told by my wife this morning that it stretches to Grandma's (since when?) so having to go out and buy a quick bunch of flowers for each.

I should have mentioned that my Mum was well catered for and she's very happy too.

I don't get the whope Grandma thing either RasputinLives There is a grandparents day at some point in the year, or though thinking about it I can't say I've noticed it the last couple of years, so maybe it didn't take off.

Okay, just googled it, apparently it's Sunday 6th October this year. So you can buy flowers and so on again then ;)

Sorry, but I can just about cope with people wearing coats in cars (although I don't understand why) but FFS take your hat off. It's not raining, you have a heater, get a grip you muppets! One for the rant thread instead, perhaps?

We haven't dipped in to the dark recesses of the Rant thread for some time now.
