Queensferry Crossing, HMS Queen Elizabeth and all things Royal Navy

Being the wife of an ex Fleet Air Arm pilot, I have to say that Aircraft Carriers are far more useful to our defence capability than much of the stuff they spend it on now. Put some decent aircraft on board, and you can be in reach of most trouble hotspots fairly efficiently.

That is the main reason for these boats being built, it provides jobs for those who build them and then go and service and maintain them (as well as sail them). As a "defence" system we would be better of throwing the money at MI5 and MI6 to find out where the next terrorist attack is going to be.

The first cables are on.

Now closed to the new year. Looks like I'm stuffed. Going to have to work from home I guess.
Commute in maybe 2 days a week very very early. Should be an interesting chat with the boss on Tuesday. :please:

What they need to do is drag the two Carriers out of the docks, stick them end to end and that should just about bridge the gap. Just make a ramp at either end and job's a good 'un.
