I saved a bee's life on Saturday. It was lying on its back in my garage air walking in slow motion. Popped it in an open tupperware box with a spot of honey under its nose. Num num num. Flew off all happy and buzzing within 5 mins. …. before I could get my camera.

I don't think that is sad at all. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
snowy. How close do you have to get to get such amazing detail?
For these images (between 2 & 3x life size) the working distance (subject to lens) is 63 - 50mm. The DOF is between 1 and 2mm at F/13.

Greenlantern101. The quality of the glass will probably be piss poor, there will be pin cushion distortion and, as with all mirror lenses, you only get one f-stop. I reckon you would be better off buying a good quality 2x converter to push out an existing lens.
