Moving to a single style - feedback wanted

Is it still too light for your preference then?
It's actually several shades darker than the old colour and not too different from the dark style, albeit it's grey rather than green.

I would say the silver side panels are what's doing it, I suppose I've generally spent more time on CTA than the other sites you mention. I, however, do admit I am both wierd and unusually sensitive at the moment. For the record the old dark grey style worked fine for me...

I deliberately went much lighter with the new style as I found that one quite oppressive and dark.

I'll carry on fiddling with the style though and each time I make a change I'll post here to get feedback.

Thats the one. You can't please all of the people all of the time, I just wanted to offer my feedback...!

As a compromise, I could do a separate style with just a dark background.

That wouldn't require any additional maintenance as it would just be a single change. It was all the additional subtle changes which were the issue before.

It would however still cause problems with template rebuilding due to there being twice the amount of templates.

I'll do some testing and see what can be done.
