Have you tried Marmite and Philadelphia on toast?
    It's scrummy.

So is strong cheddar and Marmite on toast

now there's a thought. I'll have to give that a go.

My favourite cheese on toast recipe is, cover the slice with French or Dijion mustard add Grated cheese, black pepper and worcester sauce, grill until golden brown and eat. Yum Yum.

I've just had cheese on toast drizzled with worcestershire sauce. Yum! Ideal post-gig food

When I was about 8 years old, I tried Marmite when I was at a cub/scout jamboree thing. It made me  .

Now-a-days, I can just about stomach it, although mainly as an ingredient in cooking (not as a spread...), so really I suppose
    I am indifferent to it.

Therefore, I no longer hate it, and I certainly don't love it! Is there a third way...?

The poll has been reset due to the votes being messed up when upgrading to the new software.

I think its Ok. I have 1 slice of toast with marmite and enjoy it. But don't want the second slice.
I think its strong flavours.. nice in small amounts.
I'm the same with crab paste.... and blue cheese.

There are two types of people: those who love Marmite, and poor benighted souls with unnecessary vitamin deficiencies that impare their ability to appreciate the "miracle of the toast".

...and I like to add some Organic Crunchy Peanut Butter for that slow-release energy throughout the morning...:chuffed:

I love it, but I think you have to have grown up with it. I've found it very difficult to sell the attractions of Marmite to foreigners in particular, even though I think it's miles better than Nutella or peanut butter. Admittedly I tend to favour the savoury over the sweet in general.

I'm off to the kitchen to try out some of those yummy sounding combo's mentioned above! Hated it as young pup but now? Love the stuff! It's so useful. Try it on Cheddar and onion crisps, crackers and cheddar with raw onion. Yum, yum, slaver, slaver ... :snacks:
