What do we have here? The 2 Williams about to lap a Minardi?

Not quite, that Minardi is leading the race from the Williams and that's the only time a Minardi would lead a race. It was the GP of Portugal of 1989 and the driver couldn't be other than Pierluigi Martini.

Perluigi Martini qualified on the front row (just behind poleman McLaren's Gerhard Berger) at the 1990 Phoenix Grand Prix. On merit too. Although neither of them got to the first corner in the lead. Jean Alesi on the Tyrell did, catapulting himself from fourth on the grid. The Pirelli tyre was very competitive at that race.
The minardi in the 1989-90 period was quite a competitive lttle car, and it worked very well with the Pirelli tyre.

That was also the race in which a BMS Dallara qualified 3rd and an Osella 8th - Pirelli had an awful lot to do with it.

The cars are so much prettier back in 1989. Please please bring back low noses.
