OK here we go. Once again the McLaren drivers put on a great show for us, but who else impressed? I'm sure Buemi put a couple of decent passes in this week to grab points from his back row start and there was action from the back to the front with even Trulli joining in on the action early on. Lots to choose from, but what battles ending with a pass were really 'great'?

Get your nominations in and as always, just copy/paste from Galahads summary, preferably with a line on why you are nominating them as well. There's no limit on how many passes you nominate, and we'll get the poll up in say, 7 days

I'll get Keke's overtake video in here when he has a chance to finish.

My whole question is, which would be considered genuine overtakes and not overtakes because one driver had old or the wrong tyres on etc or because of an error etc?

Can we count the Hamilton on Webber at the end, given Kamui Kobiyashi didn't seem to comply with the blue flags? It was one of those, "first at the scene loses" moments.

Its what you would like to nominate as a great overtake and, by virtue, if you think circumstances prevailed, it probably isn't a contender for OTOTW.

Galahad does also include a summary, at the bottom of his post, of passes that were not included as overtakes, including why. Normally with one car going wide or off the circuit...

The methodology is clearly explained on the main overtaking page and in the first post of every seasonal overtaking thread.

This isn't the thread for that discussion though.

I should have the World Feed overtaking video ready this afternoon.

I'm not sure who was working the switches for the Onboard feed in Hungary, but they did a terrible job. There was a couple moments of good action, but I'm not sure if a whole video will be necessary this week. They did catch Massa's overtake of Schumacher on Lap 3, which was spectacular, and I'll get that one posted as soon as I can.

No question needed it's gotta be the Hamilton and Button duel. That was really exciting and showed the whole world that both Lewis and Jenson are able to fight on the track for position. RED BULL AND FERRARI PLEASE FOLLOW MCLARENS EXAMPLE AND LET YOUR DRIVERS RACE EACH OTHER PLEASE :).

Nominations thus far:

Lap 3 - 6 Massa passed 7 Schumacher for 6th

Lap 14 - 4 Button passed 1 Vettel for 2nd

Lap 52 - 4 Button passed 3 Hamilton for 1st /
3 Hamilton passed 4 Button for 1st

Lap 63 - 3 Hamilton passed 2 Webber for 4th

keep'em coming...

The back end of Custard's Virgin overtaking the front?

Sorry buddy, that's not really eligibleLOL

How about [insert driver's name]'s ambition overtaking his ability?

There were quite a few of those on Sunday :D
