You need to use an external program to capture the screen image Jen.
If you use Windows 7 there's a program called Snipping Tool which you can use.

Otherwise just press the Prt Scr button (top right usually) and paste that into an image manipulation program.

Then, when composing a post click on Upload a File and embed it as a thumbnail or full size.

Is the an option to upload sound files as well as images and videos?

You can enable that in the ACP if required.
You won't be able to auto-play them though, all you can do is download them and play them back on your PC using the relevant software.

So if it's a file on t'internet we should just post a link. I suppose the risk of allowing us to post MP3 files (or similar) is being accused of file sharing if they are copyrighted.

Why do you have an insert media function when pasting the url into the main text box works just as well?

Yup, that would be best FB.

Mephistopheles that's default functionality with the editor - the automatic embedding of video is something which was added to the forum software.
