Movies Film Thread

Sounds like we need a "Movie car chases" thread, with YouTube links ;)

I'd just put the chases from "Ronin" in- best movie car chases ever. John Frankenheimer (he of "Grand Prix" fame) at his absolute best. Even Sean Bean's participation is reasonably brief.

I'd add "The French Connection". I don't know how does it stack up with recent car chase films but it was pretty good when I watched (20 years ago?)

Watched Les Mis on Channel 4 tonight - first time I've ever cried in a film. I was a blubbering wreck for about 30 minutes afterward...

Watched the 2013 Superman movie 'Man of steel' last night.

Buildings demolished 100
Planets saved 1
** Individual people rescued 2 **

What happened to the human element in the story. Very average film more interested in explosions and buildings falling down. 3 stars.

A watched Cold in July last night with Michael C Hall (of Dexter fame). Very disturbing but very watchable film.

I think it's because they couldn't get a third film off the ground and then Harold Ramis passed away.

Nice way to screw up a legacy.
