For the next bundle of bonus points you've got a tricky balance to strike:

Who will be leading the World Drivers Championship after the Bahrain Grand Prix?

The current situation is as follows:

    1. Lewis Hamilton 45
    2. Jenson Button 43
    3. Fernando Alonso 37
    4. Mark Webber 36
    5. Sebastian Vettel 28
    6. Nico Rosberg 25
    7. Sergio Perez 22

Players will receive the following points according to their selections:

If Lewis Hamilton is the leader, those who picked him will receive 5 bonus points.
Those who choose Jenson Button, if correct, will get 7 bonus points.
Fernando Alonso will give you 15 points.
Mark Webber will earn you 18 points.
Sebastian Vettel is worth 45 points.
Nico Rosberg can pay you 50 points.
Sergio Perez, finally, will get you 75 bonus points.

If two or more drivers are tied on points for the championship lead, the winner will be the one who is leading the championship on countback (most wins, then most 2nds, 3rds and so on).

The poll will be closed at midnight on Thursday 19th April. After the deadline your choice is locked and you can't change your prediction.

Has to be JB for me. Something to do with hot tyres so he was saying in China.

Beautiful dynamic, G. Presumably if the championship lead is shared points will he awarded for all the drivers?

No, there's only one championship leader, if they're level on points the tie will be broken on countback as usual.

Since he's more than 25 points behind, you can have a trillion points!

Interesting question Galahad - but how did you come up with the points?

    I thought I'd worked out a sequence:
    Hamilton, (a starter for) 5
    Button, (7) 5+2 'cos he's 2 behind now :)
    Alonso, (15) 5+2 and +8 'cos he's 8 off the lead :) :)
but then it all went a bit wrong .....
    Webber, I got 5+2+8 and +9 for 24 not 18 :(
    Vettel, 5+2+8+9 +17 for 41 :s
    Rosberg, 5+2+8+9+17 +20 for 61 :dunno:
    and Perez, 5+2+8+9+17+20 +23 for 84

I bet you did something complicated involving quadratic equations, trigonometry and algorithms
    - then put it all through a macro (?) on one of jez's spreadsheets. LOL

Well this was an interesting choice:
was the Alonso/Perez 1/2 all down to unique circumstances
    - I think yes
can Rosberg repeat the China result
    - not sure, but even if he can it's unlikely to be enough
are the Red Bulls close enough to challenge for a win
    - maybe, but the faster one at the moment (Webber) is also the one slightly more likely to make a mistake
so, the leading McL in the race should lead the championship
...... it has to be Hammy for me, 3 third places when he could have won any of them, due a win!

It's Hamilton or Button - what to go for - Hamilton wins my vote. For all sorts of strange reasons :).
