Seems like I'm only posting Ferraris in here, I do like others I promise but they did build some fine looking automobiles

    Olivier.

I have to agree that Gurney's Spa-winning 1967 Eagle-Weslake is a beauty. I have always considered it the most beautiful open-wheel race car of all time.

The company which made the kit car I built has just made a new kit to fit a BMW Z3:

Not necessarily my fave, but this has got to be one of the flashiest, look-at-me classic beasts of all:

Damn....FB wire wheels would really do it, but I wouldn't really mind tooling around in a BMW that looked like that.

Never mind those dreadful-looking things Porsche keep churning out these days.

THIS was the real thing, what a a proper 911 should look like:

Don't laugh. My dad had the standard version of this car when I was little and I always wanted one of these. It's a Hillman Hunter GLS. Holbay got hold of the standard Chrysler 1725cc engine, tuned it and added twin Webber carbs. For a car made in 1976 it did 0-60 in around 9 seconds and had a top speed of 115mph. Like hot poop off a shovel.

Safely turning corners was an optional extra that most of these cars didn't come with but in a straight line they were seriously quick. According to a 'how many left' website there are currently on 3 Hunter GLS's taxed and on the road in the UK.

I know it wasn't considered a real Ferrari when it came out (and badged 'Dino') but I've always loved the shape of these. Not least as it reminds me of one of my favourite TV programmes when I was a kid, The Persuaders.

Another car I loved as a kid, and is possibly the doggiest piece of sh*te Lotus ever made. But I still rather like it in a strange kind of way. The original Europa:

A Wolseley 16-60 It was the only way he could get all of us kids into one car.

I stopped off at Brecon Classic Motor Show on today's bike ride and snapped a few cars that had personal connections with my past:

Well this is my cousin's Austin A35 which he mostly rebuilt himself. He races in the HRDC series and has won some trophies, I am very proud of him.
