Trickle down is the biggest myth in economic history. If it was true there would be no billionaires as they would all be reinvesting their money instead of sitting on it (yes, I'm looking at you Mr Ecclestone).

Trickle down is just used as an excuse to make the rich richer.

    Unfortunately, that is EXACTLY right.

I just read that Warren Buffet said in the US, the Republican "middle class" tax cut gave his companies a $29 BILLION tax break. In the mean time, Paul Ryan, the head of the Republicans in the US House of Representatives, posted that the $1.50 increase per week that a secretary saw in her paycheck was proof that their tax break was working!!!!!!!!

Apparently, "trickle down" means you should give ALL of the wealth of a country to the top 1% (mostly the top .1%), and maybe, if they are feeling generous, it will trickle all the way down to the top 3%:sick:!

BTW, that same Ryan is proclaiming that, to pay for that tax cut, they will probably have to cut health care for the aged (medicare)!

Paul Ryan is despicable, a more polished, better wrapped Donald Trump.

President Trump has been to see the problems with fires in California. He gave his condolences but said that it was partly their own fault for not managing their forests properly:

'Citing a conversation with his Finnish counterpart, Mr Trump said they spend "a lot of time on raking and cleaning".'

However, the Finnish President is rather confused by this:

'But President Sauli Niinisto told a Finnish daily he could not remember talking about raking when the two met.'

    Fake News?

Maybe he forgot Finland tends to be 30deg colder than California on average and snow is pretty good at preventing fires starting

    US withdrawal from Syria 'conditional'

When he first announced the move in the middle of December, he said: "They're all coming back and they're coming back now.

'After the president made his announcement on 19 December, US officials said American forces had been given 30 days to leave Syria.'

'before leaving for his Camp David retreat, he told reporters: "We're going to be removing our troops. I never said we were doing it that quickly."'

Also he has said that he will shut down the American government "for years" if necessary. I have a feeling that if it still shut down in November next year it will be up and running again in January 2021.

There are no words to express what I feel about Trump. But none of it’s good. He’s bringing the USA to it’s knees because of a temper tantrum over a wall.
    It’s beyond belief really.

If Ronald Reagan and George W Bush had a love child that was then adopted by Richard Nixon, that child would still not be as ****ed up a president as Trump.

I don't see any reason for this stand-off. Trump doesn't need the money he is being refused, all he has to do is draw on the funds that the Mexican government have given him for this purpose.
