Mechanical shifting is perfectly adequate mind.

My local 10m TT course is, I think, hors de combat because of roadworks at the A522/A50 junction at Uttoxeter, so I don't think I'll get to any club 10s this year. I've given up cycling seriously - I mostly run nowadays, since my sons appeared on the scene - but I did a 10 in mid-2015 just for a laugh... I'd barely turned a pedal for years, and my time was nothing to write home about, but it was good fun!

I started walking again yesterday, The Pits, it was decidedly uncomfortable and I'm very sore today.
They have asked me to lead the ride but I have had to inform them that I'll have to firm it up closer to the event.

Is that quite important in a naked bike ride? Surely it would get in the way? Is that why you carry a pump on the bike?

Make sure your nipples are nice and tight. You don't want loose spokes dangling out of your flange.
