FIA Clamping down on radio communication relating to Driver performance

I saw something about this yesterday. They are the equivalent of a rev counter so allowed within the regulations.
Now that is a stretch. A beep is not a rev counter. A rev counter doesn't tell you the moment to change gear. A rev counter tells you the amount of revs you're having. A beep on the other hand tells you the exact moment to change gear.

If it's a driver aid if an engineer tells you at what moment to brake, then it is a driver aid if an instrument tells you when to change gear.
 
Button asked his race engineer how long whoever it was behind him had been on that set of tyres and the race engineer replied eight laps, I thought that type of message was banned, maybe the stewards turned his car off as punishment...:)
