So despite the 'remain hopeful' tagline it looks all but over for Caterham

    http://in.reuters.com/article/2015/01/22/motor-racing-caterham-idINL4N0V13OQ20150122

Bernie quoted as saying it looks dead and gone.

I'm sort of going with cider_and_toast's idea over on the Marussia thread that someone is buying the Marussia entry for the 9th place money but then will buy the Caterham factory for the team base so at least some will prob keep their jobs.

It wasn't that long ago the Bernie said he did not want the smaller teams in F1

What I like about Mr Ecclestone is that he is not two faced; he is far more than that.

All assest put up for sale and that means no more team. Take off the current sign in the Teams forum because the fat lady is officially singing!

Absolutely no surprise at all really.

For me this highlights why teams who put the short term financial gain from "rent-a-drive" drivers ahead of paying for a driver with ability will never develop. If you look at the curve Caterham were on with Heikki behind the wheel it was definitely an upward one. For financial reasons they took the decision that their position as the 10th best team (and therefore the FIA funding) was safe regardless of who they had in the car so they let Kovi go and replaced him with two rent a drivers. Cue finishing behind Marussia on count back and the beginning of the end. Enough said really.

It was rumoured the Romanian team Forzza Rossa bought most of the Caterham facilities and equiptment as rumoured?

Not heard much about their 2016 entry in quite a while.
