My point was more about the tyres going off so rapidly.

It seems fairly varied between teams.
Lotus were loosing around 0.35 seconds a lap on day 1.
Your times suggest 0.5 seconds per lap for Mereceds and
Ferrari loosing 1.2 seconds a lap
Really it depends on what tyre what fuel load, were the tyres new etc etc.
Take those times with a large pinch of salt.

Ferrari seems to be in a much better position than last year's but I think they're still a little bit behind. Somewhere I read Fry say that car's development is 2 to 3 months behind ...

Which is of course just the three pre-season tests now that mid-season testing has been banned/dropped again.

Based on what we've seen so far, this is my prediction for the Constructors' Championship at the end of 2013:

Williams are not on the list since they are using the 2012 car with some 2013 parts.

Of course, I'm basing this only on the first test, so this could be entirely wrong in the end.
