Keep rule 6, but instead make it placed on a randomly picked driver so you could accidentally forget but bet on the race winner and win big!
That would be a tad unfair. I Don't think they should get a bet at all. I think they should just get a fine. No one should have a chance of winning if they Don't make the effort to play.
How about they just stop getting the £20 per race weekend if they haven't spent previous monies. Maybe cap it at £100?
How about, you get the £20 for the race and you must either make a bet or opt to retain the cash and build up a slush fund. Either way, you must make a post stating your intention. Bet on a driver or Hold the cash. That way the money gets placed in your account.

cider_and_toast that is an idea I like. Requires input so skivers can't build up money through absence.
I second liking that too! Although it prob won't help me as I'll make some huge wild bet and be out the game by May like I usually am.
The idea of getting £20 per round and not before is nobody is out of the game until the end.
Can I just clarify Greenlantern101 that the winnings are banked and can't be used to bet. So in essence, if I bet £20 on driver A to win at 1/1 and it comes in, I get £40 back, that gets put into the bank and then the next race I get another £20 to bet. If that one wins at the same odds, I get another £40 back making my game total £80. I couldn't then bet in the next race that £80 plus the £20 I get for race 3 giving me a £100 bet?

No sorry I was still planning on letting people bet with their winnings in addition to a £20 top up. So you would have the 100 to spend
