Flat spots happen all the time though and it's strange it was just the Ferraris. Have they said anything? Could tyre pressures have contributed?

I cheered when Vettels tyre popped, mainly because it allowed Lewis to close right back in on the title chase. Doesn't mean I don't like him. That's just pure coincidence.;)

Apologies, i had typed out a reasoned response, but then lost the desire to post and prolong the debate.

For the record, i did not like Sebs actions in Baku. I did not like the two gearbox penalties merc have suffered, nor did i like the Ferrari tyre issues all of which i put squarely in the **** it bucket, rather than apportion blame, and enjoy the schadenfreude.

The title race will become poorer for them

Edit for atrocious spelling

In that case I should cheer when Hamilton has a problem. But I don't.

They should be asked a question such as:
  • Do you think Ocon has shown he is a worthy Mercedes driver?
  • Do you think Renault need an alternative second driver to take advantage of their recent resurgence?
  • Should Carlos Sainz be looking at a promotion to Red Bull or must he move elsewhere?
  • What does Taku Sato winning the Indianapolis 500 say about the relative quality of drivers in IndyCar?
  • Will Ferrari employ Leclerc next year?
Basically, anything to which the answer is not:

I'm here as a guest with [Red Bull/Ferrari/Mercedes/McLaren] so I'm hoping that [Max/Seb/Lewis/Fernando] do well and for a great race.

Yeah but I've always wanted the journalists asking the question to get a shock with a celeb.

Just imagine if they saw Jennifer Lawrence on the grid and went

"Jennifer are you enjoying being here at the blah blah grand Prix?"

And she responded with

"yeah but I'm a bit concerned about how down on power the Renault looks coming out of turn 10, the medium tyres degrading too much and I was really hoping Palmer would have been out of the car by now. I also think the Red Bull flexi wing contradicts regulation 42(a) and can we please lose the shark Finns? Big up to peeps on CTA! The overtaking stats are dope"

They Wouldn't know what to do!
