Jenson Button

Arguably the best ever driver in mixed conditions, all his wins at Mclaren have come in those conditions. His last race win in the dry came at the 2009 Turkish GP.

Button is known for his smooth driving style and is normally seen in must races doing one less stop than his rivals for tyres.

Buttons also know to be a bit of a practical joker and will take part in anything fun.

Since his debut in 2000 Button has won the majority of hearts in this country. But what is your favourite JB win?

Mine has to be Hungaroring 2006, in argubly a midfield team and he won the race in those mixed conditions to take his first win. I can remember James Allen been in tears almost and that was the first race Anthony Davidson ever commentated on.

Depends what criteria you place on it.Mansell never raced a full season with Prost after he won the title in 92 and Hill didn't win his title until long after Prost called it a day.

Trulli may have beaten both Alonso & JB, but that was before either of them were WDCs.
JB out-scoring Alonso is my only ray of sunlight in an otherwise dark & dismal season - I only hope that the Mp4-31 comprehensively lays to rest the demons of its predecessor, so that he gets to challenge at the front again next year...

They basically had one giant shunt at the first corner of the season, then decreed enough action had occured for the year.

Save Sato spearing Heidfeld at Spielberg.

Sad news on the personal front for Jenson today, as he and wife Jessica announce they are splitting up after one year married.:(
I'm sure Jenson is not available for comment, so we'll just have to wonder what may have caused such a situation.
Jessica is 4 years his junior, and Jenson has had well documented problems with his power unit this year!
Maybe the old boy just couldn't match her for pace or, possibly, even reliability? :o
..... :snigger:

Jessica was heard to say "I've had to wear a lot of embarrassing things in my modelling career but that McLaren 2015 clothing was a step too far.".
Sorry Jens. :(

You wouldn't for one minute be suggesting that Jense's new found fame in Japan may have helped him secure a 2 year deal with Mclaren Honda, would you FB?

;)

I heard there's a bit of a thing going on with him FA. I mean' look at the ever-present beard that's taken up residence on Aonso's chin since he joined McLaren. Every time I see it I've got the YMCA tune ringing in my head. Now think about the way the 2 McLaren drivers always seem to be sticking up for each other these days. Put two and two together and you end up with a beautiful love story.

If you don't think there's anything suspicious about it all I'd call you either unsentimental or me being a bit drunk, or both.

There. I've said it.
