A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

I have also fallen asleep at the wheel, several times.

The worst one was when I was on the motorway and it lasted for several seconds - I woke up with my head on the wheel.

It was enough to scare me so much I pulled off at the next available chance and slept in the car for several hours.

If it was anyone else it wouldn't have even made the news - sounds like a minor incident to me.
 
I have another theory.

When I was a stupid teenager, and a very very stupid one at that, I borrowed me mum's old banger of a Fiat Uno and for some reason while in the middle of moment of traffic jam-induced boredom I suddenly became curious as to whether I was capable of driving a car cross-legged, i.e with my rght foot on the clutch and the left on the throttle.

Needless to say I soon got my wires as crossed as my legs and the car brutally lurched forward. Whack!

Maybe that's what happened to Hamilton?

Love it. I know all too well. Something always goes bad when I think & do "I wonder if" I end up managers office at work getting told off
 
We went to the social club at the company my father worked at. He had agreed to do some work on the hot mini belonging to a friend. My father said that he would drive his own car home whilst I drove the mini. So I had this brilliant for doing a few miles through the lanes at high speed. All was well until the lights dimmed, went off and the engine stopped. I was in the middle of nowhere in the days before mobile phones, had to walk for ages until there was a phone box,; when I spoke to my father he told me that the reason he had this car was because it had an electrical problem and how much was I willing to pay for a tow.
 
Nothing much to read into that. Its well known that Ron is a total control freak who has to control every aspect of the team. Years ago, Senna could thrive in that environment but Prost couldn't. Hamilton was McLaren through and through but the state of the team at the management level must have been hard work on anyone.

Let's not forget that Ron's relationship with Hamilton's dad went massively down hill in the wake of Liar-gate since it was Hamilton's dad who let it be known that his son had been told by the team to tell a little white lie. That also started the process of Hamilton questioning if his old man was the right person to guide his future.

Finally, Ron is hardly likely to have a go at Alonso given that Alonso is by far the best driver Ron can get to drive the current McLaren (along with Button of course).
 
To be fair, looking at title in full it reads "Lewis gets framed! Hamilton fart jets Ferrari black"

Make of that what you will ??
