Pre-Season Your 2019 Predictions for the year ahead.

Oh boy, you aren't shy to define yourself right of the start. That Kubica thing might haunt you here (at least for a while).

Radical F1 I wouldn't worry about this. You only have to take a look at the Kubica thread to see people on the forum are a 50/50 split on Kubica - plus we're all very accepting of people having different view points. Once again welcome to CTA.

- 2019 champ Vettel, runner up LeClerc
- Bottas no winning race
- Kubica will not see the end of season. 1 Day too old, 1 Hair too Bald.
- Williams will be at the bottom , Clair to quit at the end season
- Max beats Gasly
- Hulk beats Dan
- Albon beats Kvyat
- Grosjean gets sacked
- Kimi to shine in some races
hehehe

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
Let:s hope to see a good F1 season this year.

Just to let everyone know that I am not a particular hater of any driver/team i.e Kubica, el.al.
I just say what:s on my mind at that point and time and sometimes I do change my mind as well.

Thanks and nice chatting !

Gro has really blood of true Frenchman. There is a story somewhere that after one race last year when race strategy was less than good one, he alledgedly phoned boss and unloaded upon him all what was on his lungs regarding that subject matter. He might have felt good after the call, but at the end bad move, I think.
You know me Sake. Like before, I never held back on my comments against Monish Kaltenborn being the cause for Sauber's decline. Evidently I was correct.
Nothing personally against Kubica, I just thought he should have given the drive to other much younger aspirants. I hope he doesn't embarrass himself and prove me wrong. I doubt it .

Izumi says - well I have beef with that guy, but I am not going into it now. In raw terms of him being fit for racing in F1 at highest echelons when driver is one with his car (and tires), in my modest opinion, he is not fit for that category, never-mind how many posts by his supporters will claim otherwise. I have distant respect for his perseverance, but that's where it ends.

you make a good point. it could go pearshaped i remember hearing something cant remember if it was testing or a podcast. but someone made great point. kubica up til now its a brilliant feel good point & we are proud that he has got back to F1 which seemed impossible. but once qualifying starts that ends & he becomes just 1 of 20 drivers & if russell outqualifies him by 1/2second the sympathy will vanish

Didn't you wage a war of hate against Bottas last year F1Brits_90? Like a Star Wars fan on a bad day!

LOL

but seriously i couldn't not because i have to talk about the races & considering his equipment his teammate had with 11 wins & world championship. the 2nd of the season was dreadful. did the specifics post season help himself because every week he was just as bad. i do it to anyone else in that situation

My memory is not that good anymore, but what would Hamilton say if Bottas should win? Wasn't there a case with Rosberg when he won and Hamilton reacted simply by going straight to friendly media, and declared that Totto was probably sabotaging his efforts or something to that effect. He really made a scene of it. (I am actually suspicious that Torger hasn't stop apologizing for that to this very day, promising I will not do it ever in the future again.)

Bottas was asked what plans he has for this season, and he responded, that he will do his best, that's his goal.
Le Clerc in contrast said - I want to win at least 2 races, and soon.

It's good to have measurable target. At least Vettel knows what's in pipes for him.

And Sirotkin is back as a test/backup driver. Sounds like a possible quick replacement for when he does not deliver...

Kubica is not going to be dropped, that's my prediction. He might be possibly without next year drive, but he will finish this year in that car, unless he has to check out for health or other unrelated reasons.

Why would he be dropped unless he's too slow? Where's the 'if Kubica is dropped' stuff come from, have I missed something?

He may have signed for a multi-year deal with Renault so it may not be as easy to be released. However Williams is known for changing drivers as I change sweaters so anything is possible. Siroktin would need to bring the dough though (not the bird), otherwise Williams will look elsewhere.
