I watched 2 episodes of The Man From Uncle tonight, it's just as silly as it always was but quite amusing in places. It's on from 8 pm every weekday evening on True Entertainment if you want to ensure missing it.

Last Saturday (6 Jan) I was unable to watch "Hard Sun" so I watched it on Iplayer on Thursday, followed by the first half of episode two. Then Friday night it was back to Iplayer to watch the remainder of episode two so that I didn't need to watch it last night when episode two was on TV. I could however have watched say episode five.
Are all BBC series going to be on Iplayer before the are broadcast (they don't need to with Dr Who of course)?

On Tuesday the first episode of Mrs Wilson was shown on BBC1. It looks quite interesting but if you want mayhem, violence brutal killings it may not be for you.

i was catching up on doctor who last night & saw the rosa parks episode. which im quite up to date compared to my standards ive been behind on Christmas specials before 
. rosa parks episode was fantastic, emotional I never thought id cry at the end of doctor who episode, historically very important & powerful as shocking to see as I cant comprehend how anyone could've thought that was acceptable back then. she is up there as 1 of most important people in American History.
but I was conflicted with it, because if it was a stand alone program on bbc 2 or 4 it would be outstanding. but this wasnt the history channel this is doctor who. there supposed to be sci fi daleks cybermen not historical fact

Not really, Dr Who has always blended fact and fiction. Early episodes such as The Aztecs and The Gunfighters focused on periods of history without any sci elements. In fact when it was first sold to the BBC as a concept by Verity Lambert she pitched it as a show without "BEMs" (bugg eyed monsters) of course the popularity of the Daleks knackered that idea.
I thought the Rosa episode was ok. Not great. It was an important period of history and I've no problem with Who weaving a story around it. I'm not one of the many who harumph into their copy of the Daily Mail muttering about political correctness gone mad. I just didn't think it was that good a story. White racist from the future comes back with a hazy plan to alter history for no real reason. It just didn't work. The ending with the asteroid was a bit sickly as well.

yeah I agree with that bit & it what I meant as a history lesson for she stood for & why she stood for it, fantastic. but the story was weak & non existent
It was a good way of getting people to talk about an important subject. Interestingly, Rosa was a civil rights campaigner first and foremost and her act of defiance was planned and not spontaneous as some think. That's why the plot of the episode was pants because if she'd missed the bus she would have just done it on another day.
