Only for the Charley crash, Alonso retirement but mostly the Mad Max pass.

Literally the only 3 things that happened.

4. Watched it late as I was out with the family this afternoon. Expected to use the fast forward button but it did just enough to keep me watching all the way. Good job from Danny. Christ on a stick there was some moaning and groaning on the radio today.

3 points. One for the race taking place, one because there were more than zero overtakes, and one because it’s Monaco.

Had family over today so caught the start - meh - then dipped in a couple of times and nothing had changed. Just enough I think to qualify a rating. I’ll watch the whole thing tonight and then wonder why I did.

Bizarre race  :
  • Jackie Stewart will be well pleased - he always said Monaco should be won as slowly as possible (or words to that effect).
  • Waiting for a safety car was soooooooooooooooooooooo ... tense!
  • Verstappen ends record winning run of consecutive race weekends without an admission of responsibility. :o
  • Three Dog Fight for the WDC still on :dunno:
  • Danny's got his super-smile back! LOL
= 5

Correction: + 1 .... Fenderman moved to post on Clip = 6 .... Whaaaah??? :goodday:

Oh, dear, oh dear ... now the subtractions ...
  • No passes without complete submission of the victims
  • Tyres >:(
  • Commentary :givemestrength:
  • Tyres :bawl:
  • Yeah, I know I've said "tyres" already :bangfists:
  • Why is the word tyres underlined in red? :bored:
Changing to zero. But that's not bad is it?

i didn't mind it Australia & spain were far worse, ill admit that the tyre wear didn't help its much worse than previous years

That was an annoying race, dull as ditchwater, but always felt like something might happen, so I actually watched it rather than getting on with things.

I voted for a 0, nothing great happened but thankfully nothing bad happened either. One of the more boring races of the year. Being in the UK and only watching F1 via Channel 4, I only get 10 live races a year, I feel yesterdays race was a waste of one of the live races. That's how it goes though isn't it?

Everything is relative...
Compared to the Spanish race, this race was quite a rich events
It was especially interesting to follow the changes in pace and
breaks between the cars in the leading group in live timing.

I think it was not less than 6.

That only made it worse as it became clear towards the end when it became clear that had the race been run at normanl pace both Vettel and Hamilton would probably have had tyre problems late on. Bottas could well have been in either first or second position.

I did appreciate the way that Red Bull managed to get hold of the safety car and do it up in their livery overnight though.

Amen to that! Several hours of presenter-itis, punctuated with a glorified 1hr 50m track-parade and post-race dip in the pool. Thrilling ... er, ugh ...
