Ask The Apex

My wife has a habit of driving in fifth when she should be in sixth. I discovered that this was happening when she asked me why this flashing "6" was coming up so frequently on the instrument panel. I found that charging her for the excess fuel being used cured her of this habit.

Does anyone know why there hasn't been anything new on sniffpetrol in over a month? Has something happened to the writers?

Has anyone here visited the Shivering Sands forts (aka Maunsell forts)? Are they worth the trip? Can you enter them or merely float around their bases?

Thanks for any first-hand info you can provide!

Are we allowed to have a gambling thread? Is CTA breaking any rules by allowing me or anyone else to offer some private wagers to other CTA forum users?

I have visited one via"Splinter Cell" on the PlayStation.

siffert_fan I had a quick look around the internet last night and can't find anything about official visits to the forts. A preservation group were trying to restore one of the Thames Estuary forts to its wartime condition but their blog seems toend 10 years ago with no new information.

Autosport had been getting increasingly lost for years. I've had a subscription for a while but I was going to cancel it at the end of the season. I rarely read it weekly these days.

The lowest point for me was when Autosport celebrated F1 disappearing behind the pay wall as it turns out they had quite close links to Sky.

While I understand they are a business, the ever increasing restrictions on accessing their own web content became increasingly annoying. Especially as a lot of the content was available elsewhere.

So to answrr your question, its nothing to get excited about.

Hey Titch I would go with whatever is the latest and greatest technology available at this time. That way it remains relevant for longer even if you have to pay big bucks for it right now. When I bought mine, the latest was 4K which I'm not sure if it's the same as UHD. Depending on the size you are looking at least a couple grand. Make sure it has the ability to support apps so that natively you can watch YouTube, Netflix, ..., you know the works.

I think it might be Prost in 1989, who scored 4 wins to Senna's 6. Ironically he lost it to Senna the previous year despite technically scoring more points than him (when the 11 best results-rule applied).

Actually come to think of it the same thing happeed in 1987 (Piquet/Mansell) and 1984 (Lauda/Prost), so it's th first time it's happened in 26 years whereas it happened 3 times in five years back then.
